FAYETTEVILLE — The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) is hosting a Job Expo from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 8 at the UAMS Northwest Regional Campus, 1125 N. College Ave., in Fayetteville. A similar event also is planned in Little Rock.
“Too often people outside UAMS think you need to be a doctor or a nurse to work here,” said Michelle Wiles, vice chancellor and chief people and culture officer. “In fact, UAMS has many positions that require only a high school diploma or GED. These employees are vital to UAMS; we couldn’t keep the doors open without them.”
“We planned this year’s Job Expo to really focus on our positions that don’t require a college degree,” she added.
