Deer/Mt. Judea chapter going to 97th National FFA Convention

MT. JUDEA — The Deer/Mt. Judea FFA chapter is going to the 97th National FFA Convention & Expo, Oct. 23-26, in Indianapolis, Indiana.
The school district's board of education authorized the trip during its regular meeting held Monday, Sept. 23.
The chapter has been raising funds for the trip including a Community Cookout and Silent Auction set for Sept. 26 at Bradley Park in Jasper, said FFA Adviser Keith Perkins.
Superintendent Bill Maizaur announced the spotlighted students and employees for the month of August. Deer's Students of the Month are Jesse Gunter, Lucas Middleton and Paislee Scheunemann.
Deer Science Instructor Nathan Windel is the employee of the month.
Mt. Judea Students of the Month are Annabelle Olivan and Kaylee Ridenoure.
Mt. Judea Counselor Rainey Yeager is the school's employee of the month.
