Julie Black resigns from D/MJ board

MT. JUDEA — Deer/Mt. Judea School District Board of Education member Julie Black has resigned. The longtime board member was absent from the Sept. 23 board meeting. After an executive session at the end of the meeting, the board voted to accept Black's resignation.
The board will appoint someone to fill the vacancy, however, no applicants were named that night.
In personnel matters, the board
• Accepted the resignation of Debra Hathaway, cook.
• Accepted the resignation of Britney Bruce, kitchen worker.
• Accepted the resignation of Amanda Morgan, bus driver.
• Approved hiring Tara Williams, paraprofessional.
• Approved hiring Michaela Dotson, paraprofessional.
• Approved hiring Josiha Hunnicut, bus driver.
• Approved hiring Relissa Martin, cook.
• Approved addendum, 3.2 student achievement target, to the superintendent's contract.
