A 57-year-old Rogers man died as a result of injuries he sustained in an officer-involved shooting that occurred at approximately 10:36 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 3.
The Washington County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO) has requested ASP’s Criminal Investigation Division to investigate this incident.
The incident occurred after a WCSO deputy attempted a traffic stop of a vehicle driven by Scottie Stacy on Beav-O-Rama Road in rural northeast Washington County. During the encounter, a deputy fired his service weapon, striking Stacy, who was pronounced dead at the scene. A passenger in the vehicle was not injured.
