MOUNTAIN VIEW — Fayetteville's own Joe Purdy kicks off the 57th Annual Arkansas Folk Festival Friday, April 19, at the Ozark Folk Center State Park, with special guests The Honey Dewdrops and Smokey & The Mirror. Arkansas native Joe Purdy has enjoyed international acclaim as a folk singer and songwriter for nearly two decades. His songs have been featured on network television and in major motion pictures. For this special performance at Ozark Highlands Theater, Joe will be joined by two well-known Americana duos Smokey & the Mirror and The Honeydew Drops.

Tickets to Feature Concerts at the Ozark Folk Center are $12. Doors open at 6 p.m. with the show starting at 7 p.m. with local Ozark performers TBA.

Joe Purdy will also play an unplugged performance during the daytime in the Craft Village from 2-3 p.m. The concert will take place at the Blacksmith Stage, an intimate outdoor venue, surrounded by the park's Heritage Herb Garden and 20 artisan shops. Admission to the Craft Village will be free from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. on Friday and Saturday of Arkansas Folk Festival.
