Pioneers take out Cossatot

Things got a little heated at the end of the game between North Arkansas College and the University of Arkansas, Cossatot.

Two flagrant louls and a technical all in the finally 2:24 of the game didn’t change the outcome as the Pioneers defeated the Colts, 92-77.

Northark opened the game with two 3-pointers.

Jordyn Turner hit the first one. He finished with four in the contest.

That 3-pointer was followed by a James Parlow bomb.

The Pioneers finished the game with 10 treys in the contest.

Mat Jones scored next for the Pioneers before Turner hit his second shot of the contest. A Javon Calmese bucket was followed by a 3-pointer from Jones.

Curtis Fowler hit back-to-back baskets and the Pioneers were rolling with a lead.

Northark picked up a 47-38 lead at the midway points as Parlow had 10 points, Turner nine and Jones seven in the first half of play.

Nine different players scored for Northark in the second half.

Calmese had nine points in the last 20 minutes of play. Jones added eight, Carson Tangness seven and Turner six

Turner, Tangness and Calmese all hit a 3-pointer in the second half.

Northark finished the second half hitting 12-of-15 free throw attempts to seal the victory.

Leading the team in scoring was Jones, Turner and Calmese with 15 points each. Parlow added 12, I’Ryan Allen 11, Fowler nine, Tangness seven, Trey Pulrod five, Kelsey Tarver two and Ethan Meeks one.
