Posted

Newton County Sheriff Glenn Wheeler said that on the night of June 25 his office, along with the 14th Judicial Drug Task Force and Arkansas Probation and Parole, conducted a probation and parole home visit at a residence in Ponca that was listed as the address of a person on active supervision. When officers were in the home, they saw in plain view drugs, drug paraphernalia, firearms and other illegal items. There were two people in the house, both of whom had multiple felony convictions in their history.
Jeffrey Allen Stanbrough, 68, of Ponca, was subsequently charged with multiple charges including possession of firearms by certain persons (felon), possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver, simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms, possession of marijuana, felony possession of drug paraphernalia, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, illegal possession of tattoo equipment and being a habitual offender. He is being held in the Newton County Jail on a $25,000 bond.
Also arrested was Erin Price, 50, of Harrison. Price was charged with possession of firearms by certain persons (felon) and being a habitual offender. She is being held in the Newton County Jail on a $10,000 bond.
“This, by a long shot, is not the first rodeo for either of these folks,” Sheriff Wheeler said. “together they have numerous felony convictions in their past and continue to be involved in the drug game in Newton County. This is just another piece of the puzzle so expect more to come.”
