Posted

On July 18, Carroll County Central Dispatch received a call about a male who was covered in blood and had a gun. The dispatch was also told that there was a female that was with the male.
Around the same time, the Fort Smith Police Department put out a BOLO for a male Hunter Harrell, 25, and a female Ashley Lensing, 42, related to a homicide that happened in their city.
When Carroll County Sheriff’s Officers heard the BOLO, the officers were able to determine that they were the same individuals in questions from Fort Smith.
The officers searched several locations trying to locate the suspects.
While searching on Stoppel Road in Eureka Springs, sheriff’s deputy Micah Gash located the suspects’ vehicle. Both suspects were still in the vehicle and taken into custody without incident.
Lensing and Harrell were transported back to Fort Smith.
Lensing is charged with a parole violation for a previous arrest of possession of drug paraphernalia, a class D felony.
Harrell is looking at charges for first-degree murder, a class Y felony, and an unlawful discharge of a firearm from a vehicle, a class Y felony.
Harrell is being held on a $50,000.00 cash bond.
