Addi and I celebrated our anniversary with a weekend trip to Russellville, Conway, and Greenbrier. We did a lot of flea market shopping and enjoyed getting to see Addi’s aunt and uncle, Reta and Kelly Davis.
We want to send our condolences to Lisa Dixon and her family, as she lost a brother and sister both in the span of a few days. They are the children of the late Upton and Joyce Horn. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families at this sad time.
The Compton Community Association is holding a quilt raffle. The quilt was handstitched by Ms. Betty Stivers of Mt. Sherman and donated by Darlene Cullen. The Drawing will be held in September at the Compton Community Day. Contact any board member to buy your tickets. Tickets are $5 each or 5 tickets for $20. Karen Fancher, Paulette Jech, Latisha Cook, Christine Blackshear, and Darlene Cullen can get tickets for you. Proceeds will go toward the upkeep of the Community Building.
The Compton Volunteer Fire Department will meet on Monday, July 14, at 6 p.m. at the County Line Baptist Church for the regular business meeting. Everyone is invited to attend.
