While there are many mammals living around or in the river, none are as busy or work as hard as the beavers.
Amazingly enough, they rarely try to build their homes (dams) across the Buffalo, but evidence of their work is often found very close to the river. Beavers are super swimmers, divers, and have teeth that grow continuously.
Beavers use their wide flat tail for swimming and as a warning of danger.
