Mary Jo Tonniges, 76, of Clarksville, died at the Newton County Nursing Home on Friday, March 29, (2019). A memorial service will be at 1 p.m., Saturday, April 6, at the Nail Church with Bobby Young and David Edgmon officiating. Memorials may be made to Hospice. Arrangements are by Roller-Christeson Funeral Home.

The daughter of the late Delbert Roy Brown and Mildred Martha Elizabeth Lane Brown Laughter and Willie Laughter, was born in Nail on Nov. 22, 1942.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rodney Tonniges; a brother, James Emerson Brown; and a sister, Martha Brown.
Survivors include two sisters, Doris Liggett, of Golden, Missouri and Janice Lewis, of Deer; a brother, Dorlon Brown, of Deer; a daughter, Angie Mittan, of Council Bluffs, Iowa; a son, Jeff Tonniges, of Council Bluffs, Iowa; three grandchildren and many relatives.
