Shirley F. Freeman, 75, of Russellville, formerly of Pelsor, died at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center in Russellville, Monday, Oct. 2 (2023). Visitation is 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 10, at Humphrey Funeral Service, Russellville. Funeral will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, Oct. 11, at Humphrey Chapel with Rev. Stan Taylor officiating. Burial to follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Dover.
The daughter of Ervin and Evelyne Howard Standridge was born in Dover, June 28, 1948. Shirley worked as a dedicated bus driver and was an active member of the Lurton/Pelsor Fire Department. She also found solace and community as a member of the Lurton Assembly of God.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Paul Standridge, and her sister, Ruth Morton.
She is survived by her husband, Dennis Sain, of Lurton; a daughter, Dawana Freeman, of Russellville; two sons, Jason Freeman, of Subiaco and Dennis Sain, Jr., of Harrison; seven siblings, Georgia Henson, Pete Hudspeth, Lindon Standridge, Lois Riley, David Standridge, Carolyn Humphrey and Junior Standridge and three grandchildren.
