Lawrence "Horse Fly" Sargent, 77, died Saturday, Nov. 21 (2020). Per his request, simple cremation with no services to be held. Arrangements under the direction of Coffman Funeral Home of Harrison.
He was born in Maidsville, West Virginia, to the late Greene Adam and Carrie (Sexton) Sargent on Oct. 12, 1943.
His family moved to Toledo, Ohio, when he was a small child. In 1979, he moved to Jasper. After moving to Jasper he worked as a mechanic until his retirement. He was a member of the United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife; eight children; three brothers; two sisters; a stepson; 20 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
