Jimmie Fern “Tootsie” (Atkinson) Cusack, 83, died at Circle of Life Hospice in Bentonville on Saturday, March 30 (2019). Visitation will be Saturday, April 6, at 11 a.m. with the funeral service to follow at 12 p.m., both at Holt Memorial Chapel in Harrison. Jimmy Smith will officiate. She was born in Vendor on Feb. 10, 1936. Her parents were the late Carroll C. and Ester F. (Shatswell) Atkinson. She graduated from Deer High School in 1953 and continued her education at Arkansas Tech University in Russellville. Jimmie married Donald J. Cusack in 1959 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Jimmie is preceded in death by her husband and younger brother, Gene Allen Atkinson.
She is survived by her brother, Clell Atkinson; all three children, Kent T. Cusack, of Olathe, Kansas, Scott M. Cusack, of Rogers and Kelly A. Grantham, of Farmington and two granddaughters.
Pallbearers are Clell Atkinson, Kent and Scott Cusack, Brian Grantham, Roger Atkinson and Chad Toms.
