Glen Garrison, 71, died Monday, June 24, (2019). Visitation is from 6-8 p.m., Thursday, June 27, at Lemley Funeral Home in Atkins. Funeral will be at 2 p.m., Friday, June 28, at Ben Hur Freewill Baptist Church in Ben Hur with Revs. Glendon and Scott Garrison officiating. Interment will immediately follow the service in the Harrison Cemetery at Ben Hur.

He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, attaining the rank of Sergeant.
After returning home to Ben Hur, he worked in the forestry and timber industry as a buyer for Tiller Tie Company of Dardanelle and Clarksville Wood Products. Following his retirement from the Arkansas Forestry Commission, Glen and his brother, Joe, fulfilled his dream of creating Falling Water Horse Camp on land homesteaded by their great-grandfather, Howard Standridge.
Glen was a member of Ben Hur Free Will Baptist Church and served as a deacon and the Sunday school superintendent.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leon and Sybil Garrison; grandparents, Joe and Nancy Standridge and brother, Joe.
He is survived by his wife, Linda; daughter, Michelle Bishop; a brother, Glendon; sisters, Caroline Cooper and Marsha Willis; two grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.
