Anna Almarine “Rene” Young, 90, died at her home in Ponca on Tuesday, April 28 (2020). Visitation is an hour prior to service with social distancing. Graveside service is 2 p.m., Thursday, April 30, at Beechwood Cemetery, with Rev. Craig Villines and Rev. Claud Williams officiating. Arrangements by Roller-Christeson Funeral Home in Harrison.
The daughter of the late Jim and Orphea (Clark) Reynolds, was born at Boxley on March 7, 1930. She was retired from Levi-Strauss after 35 years of service. She became a member of Boxley Baptist Church as an early teen.
She was preceded in death by her husband, O. W. “Ott” Young; three brothers, Clifford, Clynton and Clayton Reynolds; two sisters, Cleo Austin and Rosaline Barnhill and her brother-in-law, Bob Villines.
Survivors are her daughter, Kaye House, of Ponca; her son, Harold Young, of Elkins; two sisters, Josiphene Villines, of Springdale and Nancy Presley, of Independence, Missouri; four grandsons; seven great-grandchildren and other relatives.
Pallbearers are Heath Young, Brian Young, Jamie House, Todd House, Logan House and Justin House.
Honorary pallbearers are Baylie House, Hadley House, Kade Young, Corbin Young, Kenley Young, Deanna Young, Rene’s nieces and nephews, Kirby Doane, Lynn Villines, Kevin Roberson and James Conard Villines.
