‘Thug Nasty’ in Harrison again Saturday

Posted

If you follow the MMA and UFC, you know who Bryce “Thug Nasty” Mitchell is. Ronnie Long, owner of Clark Creek Farms Café wants you and all young people in the area to be able to say they’ve met him.

Mitchell will be at Clark Creek Farms’ Café on the north side of the square in Harrison for a meet-and-greet at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, June 12.

According to ufc.com, Mitchell, 26, is ranked No. 12 in the UFC featherweight division.

Long has followed Mitchell’s career and even hosted Mitchell for a meet-and-greet in August 2019.

Long said Mitchell’s record shows one loss in his career, but that was in an exhibition fight that still counts on his record.

“So, arguably he’s undefeated,” Long said.

He said Mitchell is going into fights with truly dangerous men and comes away with few marks on him. “It just begs the question, how good is he?”

“He’s getting world famous,” Long said. He said the main thing he wants to see out of the Saturday event is for young people to meet and be around him. Mitchell is a small-town Arkansas boy with whom those youngsters can identify.

“He’s humble,” Long said. “He lives on deer and rabbit in the woods in Arkansas.”

As Mitchell’s career continues, he will probably increase in rankings. If he makes it into the UFC’s Top 5, he will be much less accessible.

“So, it’s important for me to get him in here for the people to meet him,” Long said.
