RUSSELLVILLE — The Arkansas Tech University Department of Athletics is pleased to announce a partnership with industry-leading Mammoth Sports Construction on a strategic athletic facilities master plan.
The chief purpose of the partnership between ATU and Mammoth will be to develop a comprehensive strategic master plan for current athletic facilities on campus as well as look into the potential for new facilities projects.
"ATU has a rich athletic history, Mammoth is honored to be a part of this project," said Matt Keys, Director of Sports Design for Mammoth. "We are excited to bring our small college sports expertise to the partnership in order to create a bold and financially responsible plan for the future of ATU athletics."
Throughout the process, the focus will be to identify ways to enhance the student-athlete experience and foster a greater sense of pride in Tech Athletics within the Arkansas Tech University community through its first-class athletic facilities.

"This is a very important step that we are taking in athletics, both presently and for our future, in securing this partnership with Mammoth," said ATU Director of Athletics, Abby Davis. "Mammoth's reputation and portfolio of completed and ongoing projects stands out strongly, making them exciting partners in this venture."
The partnership will see Mammoth and ATU collaborate to identify and create preliminary designs for any needed major facility projects, enhance game/practice facilities and plan a weight room for all intercollegiate sports. Additionally, Mammoth will assist ATU in projects such as streamlined branding, seating enhancements for fans and positioning the department for potential future sport additions.
"Athletics has such a major role to play in a university's culture, student life engagement and involvement as well as community pride and support," added Davis. "A key contributing factor for athletics to have that profoundly positive impact is through its athletic facilities. It is vitally important to ensure that our athletic facilities remain competitive at the least while striving for superiority among those of our peers in our conference and region."
