The Newton County Senior Activity and Wellness Center in Jasper will be hosting a Soup & Chili Cook-off on Monday, March 18. It's free to enter, but tasting the final products will cost a $5 donation to the center.
Competitors must be registered by March 15.
The tasting will begin at 5 p.m. on the 18th.

March 7-13
Thursday - Ham, sweet potatoes, California medley vegetables, wheat roll and pineapple tidbits.
Friday - Steak fingers, cream gravy, mashed potatoes, peas and carrots, wheat bread and chilled peaches.
Monday- Salisbury steak, brown gravy, new red potatoes, green peas, wheat roll and fruit medley.
Tuesday - General chicken, white rice, oriental vegetables, egg roll and fudge bar.
Wednesday - Chicken pot pie, California medley vegetables, wheat roll and fresh fruit.
