FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas has landed Massachusetts forward Josh Cohen following his official visit this week.
Cohen, 6-10, 220, played in 31 games in 2023-24 averaging 28.9 minutes per game. He averaged 15.9 points, 6.8 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 0.9 steal and 0.5 block per game. Cohen shot 54.4% from the field, 69.6 from the free throw line and 34.4 from behind the 3-point line. He has one season of eligibility remaining.
Cohen is the first player from the transfer portal to choose Arkansas. The Razorbacks signed Link Academy (Mo.) forward Jalen Shelley, 6-9, 185, and Sierra Canyon (Calif.) guard Isaiah Elohim, 6-6, 210, from high school.
At this time, four scholarship players from the 2023-24 team haven't announced a decision on next season. That includes grad senior guard Khalif Battle, 6-5, 185, junior forward Trevon Brazile, 6-10, 220, sophomore forward Baye Fall, 6-11, 200, and senior guard Tramon Mark, 6-6, 185.
A school is allowed 13 players on scholarship.
