Lead Hill boys take league win over Jasper

LEAD HILL — The Lead Hill Tigers got back on the horse again.

After dropping a close contest to Kingston on Friday night, the Tigers turned around and faced Jasper on Tuesday night.

This time the home team won the contest. Lead Hill defeated Jasper, 67-59.

In other action, Jasper won the junior boys contest, 55-12.

Senior Boys

Lead Hill torched the nets for 23 points in the fourth period to post a 67-59 win over Jasper.

Jasper jumped out to a 20-13 lead at the first break, but the Tigers came clawing back in the second.

They forged a tie to go into the lockerroom knotted at 32.

Lead Hill moved ahead, 44-42 with a period left.

Leading the Tigers in scoring was Coda Lemon with 25 points. Cedomir Petrovice added 17 points. Nicklas May 14, Kaden Baker six and Haygan Dotson five.

Jasper was led by Sawyer Willis with 19 points. Blake Williams added 12, Canaan Hudson 10, Tyson Davis nine, Malijah Campbell seven and Spencer Traywick two.

Junior Boys

Jasper ran away with a 55-12 win over Lead Hill in junior boys.

Leading Jasper in scoring was Jase Willis with 16 points. Grady Hankins added 13, Gio Ramirz five, Jayce Rylee, Aaron Thomas and Ben Mann four each, Tate Smith three and Owen Luneau, Kolby Middleton and Kylan Wright two apiece.

Lead Hill was led by Tucker Middle and Gage Campbell with four each. Jacob Francis added three and Garrett Richardson one.
