Local schools have begun preparing for new students, with kindergarten registrations getting started for the 2024-25 school year. To be eligible to attend kindergarten, a student must be 5 years of age on or before August 1, 2024.
Western Grove
Kindergarten registration for Western Grove Elementary School will be Friday, April 12, 2024, for children who will be entering kindergarten this fall. Registration will be held from 8 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Parents are urged to contact the school if they are unable to attend at that time. Early registration is essential to allow the school district to plan for the upcoming year.
Parents are requested to provide an original copy of their child’s birth certificate, social security card, immunization records and an EPSDT (Early, Periodic, Screening, Diagnosis, and Treatment) screening. It is now required that each child have an EPSDT screening BEFORE entering kindergarten.

Harrison
Kindergarten registration for Harrison Public Schools will start on April 1. Registration will be available online at www.harrisongoblins.org or registration packets can be picked up at Harrison Kindergarten — located at 500 N Chestnut (formerly Eagle Heights Elementary). Valley Springs
Online registration for Valley Springs Kindergarten is now available at https://valley.k12.ar.us/elementaryschool/. This is the home page for the elementary school.
You will see an orange button that says “Enroll Now" on the website. Clicking on it will take you to docusign which will guide you through completing all the necessary registration forms. When you are done hit submit and as long as all required information has been filled out, your information will be sent to the elementary secretary.
You will be contacted shortly after the documents are received and your child will be scheduled for the kindergarten screener which will be done on April 26, 2024. If you have any questions, or difficulty completing any of the forms you may contact the school at 870-302-3071.
