John Gray named GAC Pitcher of the Week

RUSSELLVILLE – Arkansas Tech's junior pitcher John Gray has been named as the latest Great American Conference Pitcher of the Week as the league announced its weekly honors late Tuesday afternoon.
The weekly conference award is the second of the season for the Youngsville, La. native and the fourth in his career.
In earning his second GAC Pitcher of the Week honor this year, Gray set the tone for the Wonder Boys in their road weekend series at No. 22 Southern Arkansas as he pitched into the ninth inning of the Friday night game.

Gray would earn the win as he pitched 8.1 innings and limited the potent SAU lineup to just two runs on three hits. He would walk three and strikeout five.
The Wonder Boys would go on to win all three games in the series to give them their first conference sweep of Southern Arkansas since 1998.
