Jasper girls win Border Classic with ease

OMAHA — The Jasper Lady Pirates walked away from Omaha with hardware.
Jasper was named the champions of the Omaha Border Classic.
Playing conference teammate Omaha on Thursday night, Jasper scored 26 points in the first period and held a 26-5 lead at the first break. The Lady Pirates won the contest, 72-20.
Jasper held Omaha to five points in the second quarter and moved ahead, 43-10.

After the third period, the Lady Pirates led, 57-18.
Leading Jasper in scoring was Lyla Raulston with 17 points. Tiana Siebert added 16, Willa Young 14, Jadeyn Middleton 11, Laney Daniels eight, Charlee Breedlove three, Maggie Thomas two and Raye Stokes one.
Maddie Pyshny had eight points for Omaha. Peyton Matlock six, Clara Alford five and Remington Crouch one.
