Important dates for 2024 General Election Newton County ballot previewed

Oct. 21, early voting begins for the General Election between the hours of 8 a.m. and 6 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Saturday. Early voting ends at 5 p.m. on the Monday prior to the election.
Early voting will be held in the Newton County Courthouse from 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. and Saturdays 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Processing and canvasing of absentees will be on Nov. 5, at 6 p.m.. at the Newton County Courthouse. The processing and canvassing of all other ballots will be on Nov. 5, at 7:30 p.m.
