Goblins take second at Anstaff Relays

GREEN FOREST — The wind was blowing nearly as fast as the runners on Thursday for the Senior Anstaff Relays held at Green Forest High School.
After the sun had set and the final results had been tallied, Clinton finished at the top of the pedestal with 109 points. Harrison was second with 101 and Yellville-Summit took third at 93 points. Bergman was sixth with 41 points while Berryville and host school Green Forest tied for eighth with 39 points. Kingston was No. 12 with 14; Jasper, 15th, 8 points; Marshall and Valley Springs, 16th, three points each; and Omaha, 18th, one point.
Harrison, Second Place
The Goblins recorded three first-place finishes on the day as they finished with 109 points.
Anthony Robison had the lone singles event win for Harrison with a 44.98 second run in the 300 Hurdles.
The Goblins also won the 4X100 Relay along with the 4X200 Relay. Caden Robertson, Robison, Broedy Cutler and Vann Richards spearheaded the 4X100 Relay in 47.98. Andrew Langlie, Robison, Cutler and Kamran Bell won the 4X200 in 1:40.33.
Robertson was second in the 100 Meter with a time of 25.06. Mathew Gilbert was second in the Pole Vault at a height of 10-00.00. Robertson was third in the 100 Meter in 11.99. Richards took third in the 200 Meter in 25.13. Bell finished third in the Long Jump at 18-09.00. Bell took fourth in the Triple Jump at 38-00.00. Robison was fifth in the 110 Hurdles in 19.04. Taylor Baker finished fifth in the Discus at 95-00.00. Skyler Graves was fifth in the Shot Put at 38-01.00. The 4X400 Relay team of Cutler, Cayden Luker, Tyler Fields and Gilbert took fifth in 4:15.07.
Reggie Bailey was sixth in the 300 Hurdles in 47.79. Evan Dixon took sixth in the Discus at 94-01.00. Bell was seventh in the 100 Meter in 12.30 and claimed seventh the High Jump at 5-06.00. Jonathan Schaffer threw for seventh in the Discus at 90-08.00. Fields was seventh in the 300 Hurdles in 48.01. The 4X800 Relay team of Gilbert, Cutler, Bailey and Luker finished seventh in 10:49.97.
Yellville-Summit, Third Place
The Panthers won two events on Thursday as they took third place with 93 points.
Holiday Derosier won the Triple Jump at 39-08.00 and Tyler Barrett claimed the Discus title at 120-00.00.
Lucas Mcvay finished second in the 1600 Meter in 5:02.04. Derosier was second in the 110 Hurdles in 17.85 and second in the 300 Hurdles in 45.74. Javen Keymer, Mcvay, Briten Roberts and Kayden Geier finished second in the 4X400 Relay in 4:03.37. Barrett was third in the Shot Put at 39-05.00. Derosier was fourth in the 200 Meter in 25.16. The 4X200 Relay team of Roberts, Gaier, Robert Howell and Keymer took fourth in 1:42.30. Derosier was fifth in the Long Jump in 17-07.25. Caiden Curtis finished fifth in the Triple Jump at 37-05.00 and fifth in the Pole Vault at 9-00.00. Howell took sixth in the 800 Meter in 2:21.51. Mcvay was sixth in the Pole Vault at 8-06.00. Kirk Knapp threw for sixth in the Shot Put at 35-01.00. Geier was eighth in the 200 Meter in 25.81. Roberts was eighth in the High Jump at 5-06.00. Caleb Mitchell was eight in the Pole Vault at 8-00.00. The 4X800 Relay team of Logan Mcvay, Jacob Smith, Luke Harter and Mitchell took eighth in 11:12.31.
Bergman, Sixth Place
The Panthers ended the day in sixth place with 41 points.
Cameron Grisham took second place in the Triple Jump in 38-08.00 and Jaxon Savage was second in the Discus at 116-10.00. Camden Keymer took third in the 110 Hurdles in 17.91 and third in the High Jump at 5-08.00. Grisham was fourth in the Discus at 97-04.00. Keymer claimed fifth in the 100 Meter in 12.18 and sixth in the Long Jump at 17-06.00. Grisham was eighth at 16-10.00 in the Long Jump.
Berryville, Eighth Place
Thirty nine points tied Berryville with its Carroll County rival for eighth place.
Newt Wiley was the lone Bobcat victor with a first place finish in the Pole Vault at a height of 10-00.00.
The 4X800 Relay team of Weston Teague, Caden Nickell, Wiley and Jake Lopez were second in 9:51.27. Taylor Debron was third in the Pole Vault at 9-00.00. Taylor Debron was fourth in the 100 Meter in 12.08 and Tun Naing Oo was fourth in the Shot Put at 39-01.00. The 4X100 Relay team of Debron, Nickell, Lopez and Wiley were fifth in 50.39. William Redd took eighth in the Shot Put at 36-01.00.
Green Forest, Eighth Place
A tie for eighth place is where Green Forest ended with 39 points.
Paco Rangel took second in the 3200 Meter in 11:20.13. Alonzo Rangel was third in the 800 Meter in 2:17.11 and third in the 1600 Meter in 5:02.18. Isaiah Guchuzo finished fourth in the Long Jump at 17-09.50 and fifth in the 300 Hurdles in 47.52. Matthew Vasquez was fifth in the 400 Meter in 57.56. Paco Rangel took fifth in the 1600 Meter in 5:06.09. Guchuzo was eighth in the 110 Hurdles in 19.62 and eighth in the Triple Jump at 36-07.00.
Kingston, 12th Place
The Yellow Jackets earned 14 points on the day to finish No. 12.
At 10:18.48, the 4X800 Relay team of Zac Root, Xander Stokes, Chism Floyd and Josh Cooper finished fourth. Darian Alexander finished fifth in the High Jump at 5-06.00. The 4X200 Relay team of Root, Alexander, Stokes and Floyd were seventh in 1:45.89. The 4X400 Relay group of Cooper, Root, Stokes and Floyd were seventh in 4:17.25. The 4X100 Relay team of Trey Bowen, Root, Stokes and Floyd were eighth in 56.40.
Jasper, 15th Place
The Pirates finished in the top eight in four categories for eight points at No. 15.
Warren Clark took sixth in the High Jump at 5-06.00. Sam Parker claimed seventh in the Shot Put at 36-02.00. The 4X100 Relay team of Clark, Forrest Siebert, Cody Henderson and Hudson Lewis were seventh in 51.70. Nate Watts was eighth in the 800 Meter in 2:22.84.
Marshall, 16th Place
The Bobcats finished in sixth place in the 4X100 Relay to take a tie for the overall 16th position. The relay team consisted of Dagyn Williams, Connor Baysinger, Quentin Leake and Colton Sutterfield. They had a time of 51.37.
Valley Springs, 16th Place
The Tigers finished tied for 16th place on Thursday evening.
Valley Springs’ 4X400 Relay team of Peyton Willis, Gabriel Brandon, Donald Acuff and Jon Racic finished with a time of 4:16.22.
Omaha, 18th Place
The Eagles finished in the top eight in one event to take the 18th position.
Sophomore Kaleb Carlton took the eighth spot in the 100 Meter in 12.47.
