Five Wonder Boys baseball players named CSC Academic All-District®

RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. - On Tuesday, the College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced their 2024 Academic All-District® team honorees for baseball. In that release, it was revealed that five Arkansas Tech baseball players, Will Horton, Simon Murray, Keaton Ranallo, Logan Schwenke and Grant Shahan earned the distinction.
All five exceeded the program's new elevated standards of excellence in the classroom with at least a 3.50 cumulative GPA (undergrad and master's cumulative GPAs must combine to be at least 3.50) and required minimum amounts of play on the field by competing in 90 percent of their institution's games played OR they must have started in at least 66 percent of the institution's games.
Specifically for baseball pitchers, they must have made at least 17 appearances OR have at least 25 innings pitched.
Horton, a graduate student from Fort Worth, Texas, is pursuing a master's degree in Digital Marketing at Tech is currently sporting a 3.73 GPA.

Murray, an academic senior from Lee's Summitt, Mo., is majoring in Music at Tech and is currently sporting a 4.00 GPA.
Ranallo, an academic senior from Owasso, Okla., is majoring in Finance at Tech and currently possesses a 3.71 GPA.
Schwenke, a graduate student from Chandler, Ariz., is pursuing a master's degree in Business Data Analytics at Tech and currently possesses a 3.82 GPA.
Shahan, a junior from Sherwood, Ark., is majoring in Criminal Justice/Criminology at Tech and currently possesses a 3.65 GPA.
