LITTLE ROCK —Jay Martin, candidate for chief justice of the Arkansas Supreme Court will continue his tour of every courthouse in the State today, Tuesday, Feb. 13, and tomorrow, Wednesday, February 14, visiting the following county courthouses: Cleburne, Stone, Baxter, Marion, Newton, Boone, Fulton, Izard, Independence, Jackson, Mississippi County — Osceola; and Mississippi County — Blytheville. Today’s tentative schedule follows: Cleburne (8:30a.m.); Stone (9:45a.m.); Baxter (11:15 a.m.); Marion (12:30 p.m.); Newton (2:00 p.m.) and Boone (3:00 p.m.).
Wednesday’s tentative schedule follows: Fulton (8:30 a.m.); Izard (9:30 a.m.); Independence (10:30 a.m.); Jackson (11:45 a.m.); Mississippi-Osceola (2:30 p.m.); and Mississippi-Blytheville (3:15 p.m.).
“I look forward to traveling the beautiful counties of North Central Arkansas for the next two days as we continue to listen to citizens of Arkansas and county elected officials in order to improve the judiciary; to continue to assess courthouse security and technology and as we continue to read from the Constitution and pray on the Courthouse steps.”
