Ozark Mountain sends Highlanders home winless

WESTERN GROVE — It was the third time in the week that Ozark Mountain hosted a three-game night in Western Grove.
It was also the third time that all three teams walked away victorious. This time Eureka Springs was the victim.
In senior girls action, the Lady Bears claimed a 57-18 contest. The Bears won their game, 42-31, and the Junior Bears walked away with a 38-21 win.

Senior Girls

Ozark Mountain started strongly on the way to posting a 57-18 win.
Jailyn Jackson hit the nets for 15 points in the first quarter which included hitting three 3-pointers.
The Lady Bears led, 20-7, at the first break.
Jackson had seven points in the second period and Kierra Kleinert added five as the Lady Bears held Eureka Springs to a single point in the period.
The Lady Bears led 34-8 with a period left.
Leading the Lady Bears in scoring was Jackson with 24 points. Kleinert added 10, Kelly Middleton nine, Brooklynn Tennison and Jasmine Fletcher six each and Brooklynn Cunningham two.

Senior Boys

Ozark Mountain outscored Eureka Springs in each period on the way to claiming a 42-31 win.
It was a 10-7 score at the end of the first period and an 18-13 count at halftime.
The biggest difference in scoring came in the third period when the Bears won the frame, 13-8.
Mason Gilmore led the team with 16 points. Tate Dixon added eight, Jake Zemlik and Kooper Baker seven each and T.J. Barecky four.

Junior Boys

Ozark Mountain held Eureka Springs to a single point in the third period on the way to producing a 38-21 score.
The Junior Bears led 9-3 at the first break. They doubled up the Junior Highlander score at halftime, 22-11.
Even though Eureka Springs scored only a point in the third period, the Junior Bears only managed three.
Leading Ozark Mountain in scoring was Donnie Flud with 12 points. Logan Sisco popped the nets for eight points, Ben Tramell and Bentley Middleton five each, Sammie Riddell four and Eli Morris and Gage Kleinert two apiece.
