Milkweed Giveaway returns to Shiloh Museum April 27

Posted

SPRINGDALE – The Shiloh Museum of Ozark History announces the return of its annual milkweed giveaway from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, April 27. This popular event will be held street-side on Johnson Avenue, directly in front of the museum at 118 W. Johnson Ave. in Springdale.
Milkweed is the host plant for monarch butterflies, which have been decreasing in population through the years. Growing milkweed can help with the species’ survival.
Participants are asked to drive westward on Johnson Avenue and then form a line in front of the museum. They are then asked to stay in their vehicles while Shiloh’s team members deliver the milkweed plants. There is a five-plant limit per adult.
