Library notes: Coming programs at the Newton County Library

On Wednesday, June 14, at 1 p.m., H2Ozarks will present information on the Septic Remediation Program, including financial and technical resources available to homeowners. This program is free and open to the public.

On Tuesday, June 20, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., join Arkansas A+ staff for an in-person teacher workshop on exploring difficult historical topics through art for K-12 teachers, homeschool educators, and history and art lovers. Refreshments are provided.

The Ozark Rape Crisis Center will present an informational program on Human Trafficking Identification and Awareness on Thursday, July 13 at 3:30 p.m.

The Preparing to Die Study Group meet the second Thursday of each month at 5:00 p.m. at the library. The next meeting is July 13.

The library will host a reading and book signing with Arkansas author Don House on Saturday, July 15 at 11:00 a.m. Don House is the author of Letters to Dan and other titles.

Jim and Ellen Martin will lead a free, introductory Depression and Anxiety class on Thursday, August 17 at 5:15 p.m. and Monday, August 21 at noon and again at 5:15 p.m.

The library will host a reading and book signing with Arkansas authors Don House and Sabine Schmidt on Saturday, August 26 at 11:00 a.m. Don House and Sabine Schmidt are the authors of Remote Access.
