Kingston back to state tournament

HUNTSVILLE — Another year, another visit to the Class 1A State Basketball Tournament.
That is Kingston's fate again this season.
Next week the Lady Yellow Jackets will be visiting Pioneer Pavilion in the state tournament. Placement and times will be determined by the completion of the regional tournament.
Kingston earned their trip to state with a 51-26 win over Decatur.
The Lady Yellow Jackets played solid defense in the first quarter in taking control of the game.
Paige Randall started hotly for Kingston. She made her first three shots. The Lady Yellow Jackets put a 13-2 score on the board to start the game.
Decatur found a way to score seven points in the second frame, but Lila Hartness had seven points of her own for Kingston.
At the halfway point, Kingston led 25-9.
After three periods Kingston led, 41-16. Both teams scored 10 points n the final period.
Leading Kingston in scoring was Hartness with 21 points. Randall added 19, Callie Edgmon five, Lauren Fancher three, Rilee Pittman two and Emma Kivell one.
