JASPER — The Jasper School District Board of Education approved a long list of personnel changes at its regular monthly meeting held Monday night, June 17. These followed a similarly long list at its regular meeting in May.
At the meeting held May 20, the board accepted the resignation from Patricia Patterson, Oark teacher.
New hires, re-hires, summer workers and transfers included:
Certified, Lorri Forest, Jasper teacher and Justin Harris, Kingston coach/interventionist.
Certified and classified re-hires with no changes, Ellaura Hammond, Shelby Waters, Brittany Clark and Nicole Woods.
Summer workers, Jill Stephens, certified summer tutor; Margaret Hayden, classified summer school; Summer Feeding Program, Tim Slape, Kathy Brasel, Sheila Reynolds, Cathy Willis, Lynsey Jackson and Jenna Waldron; summer workers, Mason Guinnip, Oark student worker; Mary Willis, Oark summer worker; Nicole Ballinger and Riley Walden, Kingston summer workers and Nick South, Oark summer worker.
Transfers, certified, Sarah Villines, from Kingston lead teacher to teacher and Jordon Lacie Bohannan from teacher to lead teacher.
June's personnel changes included:
Resignations, certified, Joei Phillips, Kingston counselor; Wayne Allen Warren, Oark teacher and Jill Stephens, Jasper teacher. Classified, James David Morgan, Jasper custodian; Lori McIlroy, Oark paraprofessional and Wayne Allen Warren, Oark bus driver.
New hires for the 2024-2025 school year:
Certified, Bobbie Jo Randall, Kingston teacher; Rachel Turner, Oark teacher and Kimberlyn Olson, Oark teacher. Classified, Tammy Treon, Oark janitor; Mark McCabe, Oark full time bus driver and Jennifer Thomas, Oark paraprofessional.
Addendums to contracts for the 2024-2025 school year:
Certified, Tabitha Kolb, Masters; Shelby Waters, Masters; Gary Hogrefe, Masters and Sandra Allen 26 years of service with the school district adds $1,000 to contract. Classified, Brooke Villines Hartness, Associates degree, aide with hours and Katie Lee Yates, college hours, aide with hours.
Transfers, certified, Amanda Daniels from teacher/SPED director to SPED director/educational examiner; Jordon Lacie Bohannan, from teacher, lead teacher to counselor/lead teacher and Heather Villines, from aide with hours to teacher.
Summer workers, Kinder-Boost, Kelsey Engle, Shianne McCutcheon; food service, Katelynn Murphy, summer feeding and summer labor and Noah McGarrah, Oark student summer labor.
