John Wayne Eason, 82, of Navarre, Florida, was killed in a motorcycle crash Sunday, Oct. 8, in Newton County, according to Arkansas State Police. It happened at 11:58 a.m. on state Highway 123, south of Sam's Throne recreation area, at Mt. Judea.
Eason was the driver of a 2016 Triumph. He was northbound on state Highway 123 when the vehicle apparently left the north side of the roadway and struck a rocky embankment ditch, according to the report filed by Trooper Candice Pike.
The body was held at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison.
The weather was clear and the road was dry, according to the report.
