President Pat Dixon conducted the June meeting of the Friends of the Newton County Library with five members present. Library Director Kenya Windel reported enrollment in the Imagination Library is 319 enrolled or 102.2% of eligible children enrolled in the program.
Mitchell Paving has completed the fill, seal and stripping of the library driveway.
Planning was finalized for the children's book sale July 14-15, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m., both days. Books will be priced as follows: 1 book, 5 cents; three books, 10 cents or six for 25 cents. There will be a dig for treasure game and an ice cream treat for the children.
