Marion County Sheriff Gregg Alexander reported on Wednesday that on Tuesday, Sept. 10, at approximately 8:33 p.m., the Marion County Dispatch Center received a call regarding a deceased person at a residence on Marion County (MC) Road 4006.
Deputies and investigators responded to the scene and found a 59-year-old female deceased inside the residence. The body of the victim was transferred to the Marion County Coroner’s Office and will be transported to the State Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of death. Ambulance personnel from Baxter Health also responded to the scene.
Alexander stated that investigators processed the scene and conducted interviews, and the investigation is active and on-going. The name of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
