Arkansas Department of Agriculture Law Enforcement completes successful theft investigation

LITTLE ROCK — The Arkansas Department of Agriculture successfully completed an investigation into a stolen farm truck in northeast Arkansas on September 27. A suspect has been identified and is awaiting formal charges.
On September 23, a farm truck was reported stolen in the Jonesboro area. The Department’s special agents conducted an investigation that led to the truck being recovered in Osceola and returned to the owner. The agents were assisted by the Arkansas Division of Community Correction, Craighead County Sheriff’s Office, Jonesboro Police Department, and the Mississippi County Sheriff’s Office.
The Department has closed a total of 47 cases since the beginning of fiscal year 2025, returning $1,245,800 in restitution to land and property owners. The Department’s six law enforcement agents investigate agricultural crimes that affect any part of Arkansas’ diverse agricultural industry including wildfire arson, timber theft, livestock theft, agricultural and forestry equipment theft or vandalism, and foreign land ownership.
