Lora Edith Collins, 88, of Springdale, died April 19 (2016) at her home. Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 21, in the chapel of Brashears Funeral Home, Huntsville, with Rev. Bob Bolin officiating. Interment will be in the Mt. Judea Cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.

She was born Oct. 4, 1927 at Mt. Judea, the daughter of Walter and Bertha Moppin Smith. She was a homemaker and of the Pentecostal faith.

She was the widow of William Noah Treat and was also preceded in death by a son, Georgie Treat, a brother, Junior Smith, two sisters, Helen Bacoum and Inez Garrett; three grandsons, Payten Christian, David Christian and Brian Treat, a granddaughter, Kathy Galang and a great-granddaughter, Jasmine Treat.

Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, William Odeal and Sandy Treat and Wayne and Donna Smith, all of Springdale and Jerry Lynn and Alicia Treat of Wesley; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Kay and Steve Christian, Lisa and Scott Griffith and Betty Treat, all of Springdale; a brother, Sanford Smith of Hasty; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be grandsons.
