Betty Jo Robinson Smith, 69, of Hasty, died March 21, (2014) at home. Funeral will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 25, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home, Harrison, with Derwin Martin officiating. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, March 24, 2014, at the funeral home. Burial will be at Sand Hill Cemetery.
The daughter of James Coy and Ethel (Adams) Robinson, she was born in Yardell on July 29,1944.
Betty was a member of Yardell Chapel and married Arless Smith on June 2, 1961 in Vendors. She was a homemaker and farmer and enjoyed camping, cooking, church activities and basketball games. Her grandchildren were her number “1.”
She is survived by her daughters: Debbie (Smith) Wheeler and husband Kim Wheeler of Hasty, and Judy (Smith) Ballard and husband Blake Ballard of Harrison; her grandchildren, Randy Wheeler and wife Sadie of Hasty, Rhonda Groves and husband Roger of Harrison, Keith Wheeler and wife Amanda of Hasty and Jared Wheeler and wife Jessica of Mt Judea, 11 great-grandchildren, Hannah, Caleb, Jessica, Evan, R.J., Raelynn, Ryan, Kylee, Kason, Emily and Allie and a great-great-grandchild, Sophia. She is survived by her sister, Connie Evans and husband Ivan of Hasty, brother, Rex Robinson of Hasty and sister-in-law Joye Sue Robinson along with several nieces and nephews and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, grandparents: Charlie and Eller (Claxton) Adams and John and Mary (Harp) Robinson, brother James Howard Robinson, infant sister Elizabeth Robinson and great grandson Riley Groves.
Pallbearers will be Randy Wheeler, Keith Wheeler, Jared Wheeler, Roger Groves, Greg Robinson, Ricky Trammell, Scott Robinson, and Jerry Robinson.
