Kyle Evatt, the Region 2 Prevention Provider with the North Arkansas Partnership for Health Education (NAPHE) provided items promoting the Veteran Crisis Line to Camp Jack.
Suicide is a national public health issue in America, and it disproportionately affects those who are serving or who have served in the United States military. Kyle Evatt says, “Promoting access to help, and removing the stigma associated with mental health including substance use and suicide is the key to more individuals asking for and receiving the help that they need.”
Camp Jack’s Pantry has opened a location on Willow Street that will be providing food and clothing. The facility will be operational on Mondays and Saturdays!
The Veteran Crisis Line can be reached at 1-800-273-8255 or the Suicide & Crisis Line at 988 then dialing 1 when prompted.
The funding source for the NAPHE Regional Prevention Provider program is the Arkansas Department of Human Services, Division of Aging, Adult, and Behavioral Health Services.
