There being no local races, voters in Newton County had only to cast votes for president, US Congress District 4, a few state-wide races and ballot issues on the Nov. 5 general election.
According to the Office of the Arkansas Secretary of State, Newton County saw an unofficial voter turnout of 61.78%.
