Mountain View Spring Bluegrass Festival set for March 7-9

MOUNTAIN VIEW – The 22nd Annual Mountain View Spring Bluegrass Festival will be held at the Ozark Folk Center’s 1,000-seat indoor music venue, Ozark Highlands Theater, on Mar. 7th, 8th, and 9th. The event is produced by Mountain View Bluegrass Assoc., a non-profit organization, whose mission is to benefit the Music Roots Program for youth in Mountain View Public Schools.
The festival kicks off with an All-Gospel Music Show on Thursday evening from 6-10 p.m. featuring a performance by International Bluegrass Music Awards winner Becky Buller, Dave Adkins Band, Catahoula Drive, and others.
The festival includes matinee and evening shows on Friday and Saturday featuring some of the biggest names in the bluegrass world, including The Seldom Scene, The Gibson Brothers, SpringStreet, Edgar Loudermilk, The Baker Family, and Big Mill. Plus, performances by Simply Southern Cloggers and the Music Roots Ensemble featuring some of Mountain View’s talented youth musicians so don’t miss the start of their evening show on Friday and Saturday at 5:45 p.m.!

A schedule of performers and reserved seating is available at the Mountain View Bluegrass Association’s website at MountainView-Bluegrass.com. Preferred seats may be selected online.
Thursday tickets are for an evening show only and are $20 general admission or $25 for premium seating (first five rows).
Friday and Saturday tickets are good for all shows that day, from noon until 10 p.m. General admission seats are $25 and premium seating (first five rows) are $35 per seat.
The Skillet Restaurant, located at the Ozark Folk Center, will serve its all-you-can-eat buffet on Friday and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. On Friday, the restaurant will serve Catfish, Chicken Strips, Hushpuppies, Coleslaw, Corn on the Cob, Green Tomatoes, Veggies, Pinto Beans, Salad, and Dessert in-between the matinee and evening bluegrass show from 3:30 – 6 p.m. On Saturday, the Skillet will serve Poppy Seed Chicken, Mashed Potatoes, Gravy, Hamburger Steak, Brussels Sprouts, Fried Okra, Rolls, and more.
The Craft Village, also located at the center, will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. for guests to explore during the bluegrass festival. Heirloom Kitchens, the park’s newest addition to the Craft Village, will offer a variety of delectable food options, including daily specials and freshly baked goods each day of the festival from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
For those traveling, the Folk Center offers modern duplex cabin rooms which include complimentary shuttle service to and from the music theater and restaurant throughout the weekend.
