Rafael Cruz-Fermaint, 40, of Springdale and Ulises Lemus-Tobar, 19, of Rogers, were killed in a highway crash in Madison County, according to Arkansas State Police.
The crash happened at 5:25 a.m., Friday, Aug. 2, on state Highway 45 in rural Madison County.
Cruz-Fermaint was the driver of a 2010 Toyota Corolla. Lemus-Tobar was a passenger.
The Corolla was southbound exiting a left curve. A 2021, Toyota pickup truck, operated by Lisa Hussey, 56, of Berryville was northbound.
According to the report filed by Trooper Jacob P. Graham,
The driver of the Corolla, apparently, lost control and crossed the center line into the northbound lane striking the pickup truck. The car overturned and came to a final rest on the driver's side facing south.
The weather was clear and the road was dry at the time of the crash.
Hussey was transported to Mercy medical center in Berryville.
