RUSSELLVILLE — Soon to embark on the sixth season under head coach Kyle Shipp, the Arkansas Tech football team bolstered its upcoming 2024 roster on Wednesday with the addition of 46 total players. Thirty-three of those newcomers will come from the high school ranks while 10 are entering the program as mid-year transfers.
"I would first like to thank our recruiting coordinator Coach Shawn Schnabel for directing our efforts in this signing class as well as our entire staff for their work in signing this class," remarked Shipp. "My coaching staff and I would also like to thank our university admission staff, tour staff, our athletic communications office and our great faculty and staff that were vital in our recruiting efforts, especially during on-campus visits."
Of the 33 high school signees, 21 of those staying in-state as Natural State prep standouts turned college football players.
In terms of position breakdown, the Wonder Boys inked 20 players on defense, 20 on offense, two are listed as an athlete and one was added to the special teams unit.
"We are extremely excited about this group of young men and what the future holds for our football program," added Shipp. "We look forward to seeing everyone next season to support your Wonder Boys on the field."
