Kenya and Nathan Windel and Maureen and Alan Davis. Donnie and Lequita Davis celebrated their anniversary last month, as did Dale and Karla Sparks. Dennis and Renee Gilmore celebrated their 50th anniversary at the Deer School last month. We were so sorry to miss that milestone event.
Congratulations to Kent Bonar, the renown Master Naturalist, who will be leading a Nature hike at 2 p.m. on June 7 at the Headwaters School 28th Annual June Bug Jam. It’s a unique opportunity to learn a lot. Kent will also be identifying moths in the evening around the lights. Kent is trying to understand the life cycle of endangered Indiana bats who fly through the canopy while feeding on moths. There is also an exceptional documentary from the Old State House Museum in Little Rock about Kent, his history and his work. It is fascinating and you can go online on YouTube to see it.
Congratulations to Deer School Employee of the Month, Leslie Daniels! Congratulation’s to Reese Reynolds and Renee Pittman on their upcoming wedding June 7th. Congratulations to Grace and Client Martin on the turkey hunts.
Rocky and Elana Martin came to visit us this week. He is still having trouble recovering from his back surgery but the brace they fitted him with has helped. Johnny keeps him busy with his forever failing farm equipment. Even our good neighbor Kenny King comes to his rescue occasionally. Of course he is just like one of our kids. We’ve been busy going to our grands graduations and parties; Craig’s son, Hayden graduated from Harrison and Jesse’s daughter, McKenzie from Pottsville school. We wish all the recent graduates at Deer School and surrounding schools a congratulations and best wishes for your next journey in life!
Congratulations to Hallie and Marshall Pettis on their new baby boy! He is a little doll and congratulations to grandmothers, too, Barbara Watson and our neighbor, Michelle Brandenburg.
We extend our deepest sympathy to the families of Modena Ramsey who passed away in Russellville. Nick Martin was her brother and we extend our deepest sympathy to him and his family.
We send get well wishes to Crystal Young for her recent hip surgery! I too, know the pain of recovery from knee replacement. The recovery from the surgery is definitely shorter than the recovery from physical therapy, but I am definitely gaining strength not only for my knees, but my bad back as well.
Do remember to pray for all who are sick and in need of special healing, and especially for those battling cancer and other chronic illnesses.
