The Area Agency on Aging of Northwest Arkansas 38th annual NW Arkansas Senior Games began with the women's 8-ball pool competition on Friday, April 11, and the men's 8-ball pool competition on Friday, April 18, at the Fayetteville Senior Activity and Wellness Center, 945 South College, Fayetteville, Arkansas. The bowling competition will be held on Thursday, April 24, at Oddball Social, LLC, (formerly Cottonwood Bowl) Harrison, Arkansas. The big track, field and fun event day will be held on Thursday, May 1, 2025. The track and field events will be held at the F.S. Garrison Stadium and Cash Center, Harrison Senior High School at 1754 Burlsway in Harrison, Arkansas.
The competitions will include events for the serious competitor as well as a host of recreational and fun games including: a wide variety of walks, dashes, and runs, even a 3K run; shot put, running long jump, javelin, and standing long jump; dominoes, baggo, daisy air gun, softball throw, stationary cycling, basketball shoot, spin casting, football throw, nail pounding, Skip-Bo, and a balloon bust relay. The competitions are divided into age groups. Medals will be given for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.
Over the past several years, a number of corporations and businesses have become partners, providing financial support for senior services through their Northwest Arkansas Senior Games sponsorship.
