Preparations being made for Summer Camp 2025

The Newton County Resource Council is making plans for its 2025 summer Camp for area youth.
In a recent announcement the Resource Council reported, "We had a huge success last year with our camp of 52 students with four lead counselors and four junior counselors with a summer camp director and co-director. So many businesses and amazing individual helped with our success. We are creating fun and learning activities for local students between the ages of 6 to 12.
"Summer Camp starts May 27 to June 6 and restarts June 15 to June 27. We have selected our theme: 'We are Better Together' with many team building skills and activities. We are looking for help with donations to provide the best experience for our campers. We already have so many activities planned and cannot wait for the fun to begin."

The community can help in many ways, including: Help with t-shirts costs, extra snacks, sponsor a student or $40 a week, cash donations, end of camp party, field rips, prizes for games, ice (for very hot days), life jackets, sun screen, bottled water for field trips, outdoor games and supplies for activities.
