Our correspondents: As life goes by

My granddaughter, Mary Margaret, went to her senior prom this weekend. She sent me her picture with her boyfriend, and she was so beautiful, and he was so handsome. Mary Margaret wrote that she was really excited to get to go to prom this year! The COVID-19 is beginning to become a memory. I know we have much time left, but we are beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel. If you are getting to go to your prom or have a child or grandchild going to the senior prom, I am sure you are enjoying this year since so many didn’t get to enjoy their prom last year!
Not everyone has gotten vaccinated, but many have and it feels good. I know we must wear our mask for more time, but it will be worth saving lives and getting back to work.
Have you been out for a drive through the hills? The trees are beginning to bloom. The flowers are out and are beautiful! The trees are becoming different shades of green. It is a lovely time to be alive!
This is the time when everyone wants to get out and plant. It seems like the weather is ready for tender plants to be put out and then, Wham! More cold weather and you are back buying more plants for the second round! It seems like we are ready for a garden and we find we must wait a little longer.
Please go get your COVID-19 shots and be safe. Wear your mask, wash carefully, and watch who you are getting together with.
