WESTERN GROVE— Ozark Mountain High School will be hosting “Decision Day,” at 10 a.m., Friday, May 2, an event at which high school seniors will publicly announced their plans for career success after graduation, whether they are enrolling in college, entering the workforce, or enlisting in the military following graduation. Local leaders, families, and community members are invited to attend the event to celebrate the Class of 2025 and to encourage younger students to begin planning for their futures.
“I am so proud of our graduating class, everyone come out and support them on their Decision Day. Decision Day is a time when we get to hear what our seniors are thinking about doing with their lives and it is always enjoyable to hear what plans they have after graduating," said OMSD principal John McCleary.
Everyone is invited to join the dedicated seniors who have worked so hard to achieve their goals, McCleary added.
“As a graduate of Leslie, another small school in Searcy County, I took this position knowing the importance of education and seizing opportunities in our rural community. With my wife being one of the high school math teachers and us having two kids in the district, I wanted to use my experience and connections in multiple job fields to help our students in any way possible. I look forward to seeing how this year's seniors grow after graduation, and I anticipate great things in the years ahead,” said OMHS Career Adviser Matt Smith.
