CARROLL COUNTY — Carroll County authorities say the body of an Omaha man who apparently drowned Tuesday night, July 20, in Table Rock Lake near Omaha was recovered early Wednesday morning.
Carroll County Sheriff’s Chief Deputy Jerry Williams said the body of 51-year-old George Davidson of Omaha was recovered about 12 hours after a call requesting help to find him.
Williams said the incident occurred at the Enon Access on Table Rock Lake in the Cricket Creek area near Omaha. It is near Omaha, but in the Carroll County jurisdiction.
The call went into the 911 center in Carroll County about 9:10 p.m. Tuesday. Williams said witnesses reported that Davidson had been swimming in about six or seven feet of water when he went down and didn’t resurface.

Carroll County authorities and numerous other agencies responded to the area Tuesday night, including the Mennonite Disaster Services with a boat and SONOR.
They pinpointed a possible location of the body in the early morning hours Wednesday, then coordinated with the Christian Aid Ministries, or CAM, Dive Team out of Clarksville.
Williams said the CAM team found Davidson’s body about 9 a.m. Wednesday. The body will be sent to the state Crime Laboratory to determine the exact cause of death, but Williams said there was no immediate indication of foul play in the death.
